Investigators Course - This course is designed for anyone engaged in carrying out any type of investigation. The course can be designed to fit the needs of the client. Could include aspects of law, interviewing, statement taking, and courtroom skills.
Investigative (PEACE) Interviewing - Essential for any investigator carrying out witness interviews, or suspect interviews conforming to The Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
Retail Sector Training
Retail Security Course - Designed to give workers in the retail trade an insight into offences of dishonesty, including fraud. Powers of arrest, aspects of identification, personal safety and cash carrying.
Store Detective’s Course -
Will give store detectives knowledge of powers of arrest, use of reasonable force, report writing, identification, and courtroom skills.
Police Officer Training
Initial Police Learning Development Programme (IPLDP) for recruits to the police service
Initial Crime Investigators Development Programme (ICIDP) for trainee detectives
OSPRE Part ll -
For police officers about to sit the second part of the promotion process. Will cover the core competencies, the assessment centre, dealing with sample scenarios, and will undergo a live assessment recorded on video.
Police Staff Training
Custody Assistant - Designed for civilian custody assistants being currently employed by more and more police forces. Will deal with some aspects of The Police & Criminal Evidence Act 1984, searching of prisoners, and personal safety.
Investigation Assistant -
Another new role being trialed by some police forces. Will cover aspects of PACE, interviewing, statement taking, and file building.
Legislation
Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (POCA) - This new and powerful piece of legislation, is not yet being fully implemented by Police Officers, Customs Officers and Training Standards Officers. The course will cover Money Laundering Offences, Criminal Lifestyle, Cash Seizure, Court Procedures and Document Administration.
Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (SOCAP) - A new piece of legislation which has changed the classification of offences, powers of arrest, available to police officers and civilians, including Police Community Safety Officers (PCSOs) Training will include changes to powers of arrest and search procedures.
Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA) -
Designed to meet the needs of public authorities carrying out investigations and surveillance, who need to be aware of their responsibilities under the legislation.
Appropriate Adult -
This course is intended for anyone undertaking the role of appropriate adult. Will cover the responsibilities of an appropriate adult, the rights of a detained person, police procedures, and courtroom skills.
Criminal Procedures & Investigation Act (CPIA) -
Developed for public investigatory bodies to give an awareness of their responsibilities under the legislation.
Local Authority Training
Anti Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs) -
Aimed towards local authorities that are increasingly forming ASBO teams. The course will cover anti social behaviour legislation, interviewing and statement taking, evidence gathering, and courtroom skills.
Community Wardens - This course is directed towards authorities that are employing civilians in this important role. The course will include powers of arrest, radio procedures, note taking, anti-social behaviour and drug awareness.
School Security -
A course to give local education authorities and other interested parties guidance regarding security matters, regarding trespass, harassment, assault and the carrying of offensive weapons.
General Training
Dealing with Confrontation -
Designed for workers and other officials who may face physical confrontation. Will deal with recognising possible threatening warning signs, how to de-fuse potential threatening situations, and some possible solutions.
Personal Safety - This course can be tailored to meet the requirements of any individual or group of people who have concerns about their personal safety either at work, when out and about, or in the home.
Media Training - Intended for anyone likely to be interviewed by the media. The course will cover aspects of giving a television or radio interview, how to prepare for the interview, and how to conduct yourself during the interview.
Presentation Skills - Aimed at anyone having to give presentations or briefings to groups of people. The course will cover various types of presentation, how to prepare your presentation, and how to deliver it.
Courtroom Skills - A course to give anyone likely to appear as a witness in magistrates or crown court, an insight into court procedures, how to prepare for a court appearance, and how to give evidence form the witness box.
